This movie made me achieve the book, but for now, I only read pages that weren't in the film, or just to make some facts more clear for me. The last scene is, indeed, touching.
I read your description, is very complex, and made me understand Eva more. She's probably exagerating in her letters about evil Kevin.
I still cannot predict Kevin's future after 5 years of jail. I don't know why was he so sensitive at the end, maybe was the fear of "Big School", maybe remorse. Maybe both. I guess we'll never know, because the author leaves this onto readers interpretation.
I wish Lionel Shriver would write the continuity of this amazing novel.

(Apologies for possible mistakes, as English is not my native language. )Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01795359238651505233noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22396877.post-41696740131480375112012-01-06T03:51:50.120-06:002012-01-06T03:51:50.120-06:00Just saw the movie this evening - thank you for a ...Just saw the movie this evening - thank you for a very thoughtful review that fills in some of the gaps left by the (also brilliant) movie!Robert Mark Bramhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06992070434006567093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22396877.post-71533824794222842222011-11-24T19:02:32.818-06:002011-11-24T19:02:32.818-06:00Very well written. I liked how you broke down how you viewed Eva and what the possibilities were in terms of Kevin's mental capacity at the time of the murders and overall anti-social/sociopathic behavior. These types of books/films are haunting, because they stick with you for a while after reading. You sit and wonder, contemplate what happened after the final words were penned.Coach Lugshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16716270208693315594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22396877.post-44138336437033591602011-03-24T21:31:19.343-05:002011-03-24T21:31:19.343-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10355526224676014295noreply@blogger.com
